Chloe Shekinah Resler is a Denver-based violinist, vocalist, educator, and musicologist. She plays and sings jazz, klezmer, Yiddish song, bluegrass, and old time. Her research interests range from the intersections of gender, sexuality, and music, to analyzing the music of Over the Garden Wall, to examining local historical music scenes. She occasionally enjoys trying her hand at other instruments, including mountain dulcimer, autoharp, Scottish smallpipes, and electric bass. She believes that music should be both honest and fun for everyone.

Chloe completed her BM in Vocal Jazz Performance and MM in Music History and Literature at the University of Northern Colorado. During her time there, she earned an Outstanding Performance from the Downbeat Awards as part of Vocal Lab, and recorded a solo jazz album, Amazilia, in 2019. She also wrote Chapter 10, "The Rise of Queermisia in Jazz: Medicalization, Legalization, and Its Effects" for The Routledge Companion to Jazz and Gender(2022), and completed her master’s thesis, “Musical Narrative and Cultural Context in the Animated Miniseries Over the Garden Wall.” She recorded the album Under the Maple Tree around a single microphone in her living room with Magpie the Band in 2021, who went on to play as featured showcase artists at the IBMA Conference in September 2023. The album was described as playing “like an intimate house concert put on by close friends” by Bandwagon Magazine (2021). She lived in Los Angeles for three years, and during her time there, performed Yiddish music as a guest with the UCLA Klezmer Ensemble and Mostly Kosher, as well as programming her own shows as part of Der Goldener Feygl at the Skirball Cultural Center, Kosher Queer Fest, Collage San Pedro, and Der Nister. She was a 2025 research fellow at the University of Denver’s Beck Archives, and was an Azrieli Scholarship recipient at KlezKanada that same year. At KlezKanada, she met a wonderful group of musicians and formed the Yiddish swing group Di Svingers. Di Svingers has since recorded an EP and performed at klezmer festivals and other venues in Los Angeles, Denver, and Montreal.

Chloe spends most of her time teaching. Currently, she teaches the bands and orchestra at Sagewood Middle School. In Los Angeles, she worked at Stella High Charter Academy, where she rebuilt the music program from scratch, and taught choir, orchestra, concert band, rock band, and regional Mexican music.
